Publications

Publications and conference proceedings connected to the Academy.

The Academy is not involved generally in publication, but rather its members publish books and articles in a variety of legal journals throughout the world. Members are encouraged to exchange books and article reprints with one another. It is possible too that there will be not only exchanges of information and ideas, but also that some members may undertake cooperative writing endeavors.

Nevertheless, publication of the papers presented at the Academy Conference is desirable. In this manner, the scholarship is shared not only with members who are unable to attend, but with other colleagues in teaching and the legal profession. It also is a writing which one may refer to long after the Conference is over. Indeed, it becomes a permanent addition to law libraries and comparative legal scholarship. Problems of securing publication include the current high cost of printing and the limited market for scholarly books. Thus far, the Academy has been most fortunate.
